She explains the way to avoid barking is gradual introduction to sounds, starting low and working up to maximum volume.
The aim here is to reward the gradual steps towards the full behaviour.
Start at a low volume, play the sound and when your dog doesn’t react then reward with your marker word (or clicker) and deliver them a treat.
Then up the volume slightly and repeat the process of playing the sound, then using the marker word (or clicker) and delivering a treat.
If your dog growls or barks then you have gone too high with the volume, wind it down a bit and carry on from there.
There are so many sounds that can be a trigger, I’ve included a couple below.
If you have a portable Bluetooth speaker you can put this near where the noise would be, like the door or near the window. Use the volume on your device to adjust accordingly too to bring the sound to a higher level.
Good luck!

If you’ve got a sound your dog is struggling with let me know and I’ll aim to add it to the list
